I just stumbled upon the MTHFR mutation and it describes me to no end: Panic attacks, depression, misscarriages, tongue tied babies, heart valve issues... I was taking Folic acid and other synthetic vitamins and was noticing a spike in panic attacks and depression episodes and many other signs of this mutation. I finally started researching and came across it. I got off all folic acid and immediately ordered this product. I have to say it has been working well for me. My panic attacks have completely stopped and my mind lost its foggyness. I feel more awake in the mornings and I have been feeling like myself again. I've been taking it for 3 weeks now. I've increased to a pill and a half a day. The pills themselves are delicious! They taste like candy! I love the taste! I let it desolve under my tongue. I've also started taking Krill oil and iron in vegetable form. I have also felt more motivated and have even started working out!? What!? Anyway. I believe my body was severely lacking in folate and vitamin B and I was poisoning it with folic acid for so many years! I do have a problem gaining weight (I have always been underweight) and I'm working on figuring that out but for now I'm happy with these pills and hope to take the blood test soon to see what will further work for me.

As a nutritionist I'm constantly looking into the latest research. ASD (autism spectrum disorder) is something my son and many clients find challenging. New research suggests that the methylated forms of key vitamins cannot be made in certain individuals and leads to severe deficiencies in these methylated forms that increases toxicity in the brain and body leading to autism-like challenges. They're relatively small, circle pills, that crack if you bite into them and are chaulky. I swallow mine, but my son chews them. He says they taste gross, but he does it anyways with water. I'd say as long as you or your child can swallow small pills these are fine.

We started these right before my son went on Spring Break, so I could monitor if there were any changes. I didn't notice anything for about 10 days, but he said he felt good and had energy. Who is to say what is making him feel better, but this vitamin is the only change that we've added to his intake. I doubt everyone would have the same results, but they seem to be working for him. So, I'm taking them now too and so is my mom. I don't feel any side effects and I have felt a bit more energized in the afternoons when I usually want to nap. I certainly don't want to say they're miracle vitamins, so please don't misunderstand my review, I just wanted to share our experience. I do like them and my entire family is taking them. We are all being tested for the MTHFR gene mutation this summer, so maybe that has something to do with it. My understanding is that these are made from Folate and not Folic acid, which is why we purchased them in the first place. I'm not a doctor, just a mom. So, please take this info as you will.

I will add an update if there are any changes to report.

I'm on my second bottle, and no complaints. Obviously there's no way to scientifically verify my experience, but I believe this supplement is helping me. I bought it based on research on the most easily absorbed forms of B12 and Folate, and this seemed to offer both of those for a better deal than I could find elsewhere.

I have not been tested for the MTHF gene, but my sister has tested positive for it. I have had symptoms of B12 deficiency for some time, including anxiety and a stubborn predisposition to canker sores. Anxiety is more complex for me, but my tendency to develop canker sores has changed since taking this supplement (which it *had not* when I was on a high-dosage regular B-12). In recent years, basically any wound to my lip or cheek would become a sore, and I had variously effective methods to try to keep them at bay. It was a constant battle, however, and nothing seemed to get to the root of the actual problem.

What I've noticed since taking this supplement (it's been about 4-5 months) is that I have not had to fight off canker sores every time I bite my lip or cheek. That's significant. In fact, I don't remember the last time I had to use one of my remedies to treat a developing sore. They seem to heal much better.

My anxiety is better recently, but I believe that's due to more general lifestyle changes -- to which I would expect this supplement might be contributing in some way. But I can't tell you for sure how, or how much.

Taste wise: I don't usually care for cherry, but this one is relatively inoffensive. It's nice that it's dissolvable since I hate swallowing pills.

I recommend this product if you have the MTHF gene, or if you appear to have a B12 absorption problem. It seems to be good quality and effective, and it uses specific forms of active B12 that have been tested to be among the more efficiently absorbed. There are other active forms, but my research led me to settle on this one.
